Shoulder mount deadlift conditioning

I've recently started training for getting my shoulder mount deadlift. I think this move can look very exotic when done right (especially on spin pole!).

I'm going to share my progress on getting this move!

Current progress:

I've noticed attempting a shoulder mount requires engaging my core. I think I have enough upper strength but need to work on controlling the move.



1. I practice doing the shoulder mount on the ground first. I find this helpful because it puts less stress on my shoulder and focuses more on learning how to engage my ab muscles and where my hips and legs should be.

2. After I practice the move on the ground, I try it standing and try not to kick up.

3. Do both sides!!!
